Overview
IRIN is a structured sound editor written in Max/MSP (standalone).
Condensed description of Irin's workflow :
- Load up to 16 mono sound files of any size depending on the available RAM.
- From each sound Buffer, select a fragment and edit it in several ways to obtain a sample
- Place this sample on any one of the 4 available tracks, knowing that tracks are polyphonic and sound parameters are a track independent feature.
- Store samples in a sample library.
- Encapsulate sample sequences into a Figure and submit it to several variation operations. Store all produced Figures into a library.
- Merge and combine several Figures into a “Meso-structure” and submit it to several variation operations. Store the Meso-structures into a library.
- Render the final result into a multichannel audio file.
